This blog is designed to document the ongoing scholarship of Catholic University’s Cultural Heritage Information Management (CHIM) cohort, a student group studying at the Department of Library and Information Science (DLIS) under a special grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Thanks to the generous IMLS grant, the students of this special group are pursuing MSLIS degrees with a special curricular focus on the foundations of cultural heritage management, digital curation, information organization, information services, and digital technology. This coursework will prepare students for careers in cultural institutions such as libraries, archives, and museums.
The scholarship program website provides detailed information about coursework, conference opportunities, and professional resources. More information on the Catholic University of America’s DLIS and the Cultural Heritage Information Management course of study is available.
